I woke up individually, early in the morning at 6 and went to do some cardio training in the fitness center, in order to maintain a healthy condition. After that, we had breakfast in Fresco Cafe, followed by taking Subway to Ferry station for a ride to the Statue of Liberty. Unfortunately, we found the statue not 'liberal' at all, simply because we needed to pass over security checks, queuing up for ferry while hearing NYPD (police) shouting at crowds, finding protection fences around the Statue and stuff. Furthermore, today was another record-breaking heat wave! However, even though the heat didn't let us enjoy much today, we enjoyed sweating and walking on the street for almost 13 hours under 41 degrees Celsius of heat!!! Yay, we had burnt a lot of fat! Vingi, if you came with us, you would enjoy the feeling of burning fat too! Anyway, more people coming will have more fun!.
For Subway, I found it not being as sophisticated and systematic and even clean as Hong Kong's MTR. The ticket is not cheap ($9 USD for four people each time), rubbish stuck in gaps, no electrical display board for advertisement, dim light etc. Anyway, taking subway is a lot better than walking by foot under the 41-degree heat~
After the Statue, we went back to Wall Street and had a look at the National Museum of American Indian and Custom House of United States for free!!! Moreover, the Stock Market had a very sophisticated and complex security system, like checkpoints, blockades and even ramps to block any vehicles to come in. I wonder if I can wear a texido and enter the stock market, do hammering and giving orders to my clients... If I could, I would promise to bring my family and friends to have a free visit of the Stock Market :)
For Columbia University, I didn't find it attractive, possibly because we couldn't enter most of the academic halls and classrooms to have a look. There's one thing that I must tell, is Columbia's book store is even 'weaker' or more feeble (at least less in varieties) than the 'Sam Luen' Book Store in HK. (Btw, if you don't mind the book store, you could take law as major in Columbia University. Alexander Hamilton and Franklin Roosevelt were also from this university too!)
Last but not least, we had our dinner near Timesquare, and tried a so-called 'Best Cheesecake' Restaurant (actual name: Lindy's). Well, it's not as good as I expected, but still it was a kick for the whole day. Tomorrow, we are heading to Boston, another 4-hour drive... So, see you tomorrow in Boston!!!
