Day 3 - New York City Time Square, 5th Avenue, Chinatown

Edwin
Today was a good day. We went to New York, but we have a hard time finding the hotel. at last we find a hotel call Travel INN. We then went to have a walk around New York City. We ate subway for dinner. We then when bach to hotel and do our blag, hopefully tommorrow I can the the Sature of liberty!!!!!!

Michael
As soon as we reached Syracuse, the temperature was hell-like high of 39 degrees Celsius!! (Plus humidity, you might probably feel the heatwave and temperature of 47 degrees! What the heck~) Well, our driver Billy suffered a lot today. Firstly, he had to drive, then under insufficient sleep, under record-breaking heatwave and homesick, but still he sucked them up and successfully brought us to New York City!!!
We began with our breakfast in Comfort Inn, then drove to the middle of highway for lunch in Mcdonald and fuel refill. We found that our R-Class was superb and efficient in consumption of diesel (especially long-drive, comparing to our Sprinter~) At 3, we passed the New Jersey Tunnel and arrived New York City, which is actually alike with Hong Kong's Central, but is dirtier and busier!!! How can this be possible - the heart of USA but so dirty and having sucking traffic? This city should be redeveloped again and again! Like Toronto or Montreal if possibly :)
Anyway, we will stay in Travel Inn for a couple of days and then go out for sight-seeing by foot and subway! (i.e. Central Park, Statue of Liberty, Chinatown)
Last but not least, the price here is high like hell! We need to pay 500 sth for a day in Travel Inn (with no breakfast provided and so hot!), comparing to yesterday's Comfort Inn in Batavia (156 for a day with breakfast and cooler with bigger washroom!) Anyway, here's New York man! We cannot complain much, but try to adapt new things :) (Actually, trying to save as much money as I can :))(P.S. I originally thought Time Square was a mall as we got one in TRT and Causeway Bay, but later I found that it was just a flat open area with a few chairs and tables and a big staircase having crowds sitting on it... what the heck...)

  1. Hi all,

Sometimes, while enjoying the good side of something, you may have to take its shortfall as well.

Don't forget to put your sun block on.

Michael, you have passed your ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory Exam.

    Have a great trip!!
