Algonquin Family Hike, October 9th, 2012

Yesterday, all of us (which included me, my father, Kenny, Vanessa, Edwin, Matthew and their parents) went to the beautiful Algonquin Provincial Park in between Georgian Bay and the Ottawa River. When we reached the Park, it was cold and we had lunch at the picnic grounds. We had curried chicken wings, chicken wings, eggs and instant noodles. It was delicious! After lunch, we drove over to our first hiking trail for our hiking trip. Our first hiking trail was the Lake of Two Rivers. It was a 2 kilometer walking trail. It took about 1.5 hours to walk that trail. I saw many things such as leaves and of course, a flowing river. It was a bit tiring but fun too. After that trail, we drove over to our second hiking trail. Our second one was called Peck Lake. It was a 1.9 kilometer walking trail. It took about 1.5 hours to walk that trail. What I saw was more leaves, mud, and a staircase to take us up to the next part of trail. We stayed in the Algonquin Provincial Park right until five o’clock in the evening. We arrived back at HQ at around 9:20pm. Everybody went home to sleep except for Edwin, who had to sleep at HQ. Kenny took Edwin out to dinner at Kenny’s Gourmet in beautiful Richmond Hill before Edwin slept at HQ.
