Bravo Group - Day 8, 9

Aug 19 & 20 – Day 08 & 09
This is a joint blog of yesterday and today.
We arrived at Musky’s Landing yesterday. Before that, everyone had gathered at Monticle to load the kayaks, get the Zodiac ready, and restock on food. We all worked very efficiently and everything was done on time. We moved our luggage into the sprinters and for several hours we were on the road to our destination. After we arrived, everyone worked extremely well together in unloading all the equipment and luggage, have the shelter tents set up, and the kitchen set up. It was an amazing 50 minutes before everyone had finished. We made dinner and had a campfire made. We relaxed a little before a game was played; the game tested our VAK (visual-auditory-kinetic) skills. Separated into two groups, we were blindfolded and used only our taste, smell, and touch to figure out what was in the pot. Everyone had a great time. Lights out time came and we all went to bed.
This morning we woke up early for morning PT. We stretched, did push ups, and jogged with the jerry cans. We then had room inspections which taught us the importance of giving attention to details. We then played games that are designed to teach communication and team working skills. The games require instruction giving and being blindfolded. It was quite entertaining. We had a quick lunch before we left for Treetop Trekking. For several hours, we experienced many kinds of feelings. We had fun; we had feared; we had discovered our strengths; we had discovered our weaknesses. It was a joyous, tiring, fun-filled day. Tomorrow we will be starting water activities.

愛你們<3 span="">

Alvin

Day 8
Today was all packing and getting things off and getting our houses
Day 9
Today was very fun at treetop trekking. I conquered half of my fear of height by going there twice. My first time I went on yellow and Green but Now I want on all of the Games except for black and red because of time consumption. :(

Ava
Tiring days, I almost pass out… Just kidding! I am strong enough to face any challenges. Never worry about tomorrow because it will always be fine.

Today was one of the funnest(funnest?) days ever! Coz you know why? Because today was the day we went Treetop Trekking. It was so awesome! I went on all the colours on my blue(yes blue) bracelet. (Because I wasant 12 yrs old :( ) Oh well. I wish I could go on Black or Mavve, (or both) that would have been really fun. But overall, today was really fun, and just a little bit tiring.

Ryan Hoang
Today was a very exciting but tiring day. This is because we went Treetop trekking. Treetop trekking was really fun even though I conqured my fear of heights I have a fear of losing my balance. But all in all it was very fun especially the zip line which was very exhilarating.
Yesterday was a day of packing and loading as we were heading to Muskey’s Landing. Aparently we finished setting up for Muskey’s in 50 minutes which is quite an achievement.

Jenn
I’ve been trying to twist this into something uplifting and inspiring, but I’m not that good with words yet, so all I can do is honest and something to do with my natural charm (:D?)
Anyway, as you all probably know by now, this is a combo-blog joint with yesterday’s. Yesterday’s highlight was marking the move from HQ to Muskey’s Landing. It’s quite a different experience from Alpha Group… And there’s your spot of dark humour for the day, courtesy of yours truly. Or a tasteless and insensitive remark. To each his own, I suppose though I hope that in the event that understand my double meaning, you take it as the former.
I never expected Bravo Group to be like the TransCanada bunch, or even like Alpha Group, but after getting very little sleep last night due to the behaviours of the students, and their attitudes to room inspections, I am both sickened and frustrated by them. The upside is that I know what my challenge is now: I have to regulate myself and keep it cool in front of them.
Today’s team-building exercise was hellish for me. Being blindfolded and without my voice and then having to depend on faulty and disconnected information? Perhaps I ought to trust more and worry less, because I ended up screaming my throat raw again; goodbye voice, I’ll only really have you in textual format for a while yet at this rate.
As for treetop trekking today, well that was both uplifting and crushing, I’m terrified of heights, so even though we were strapped on safely at all times, I was still scared out of my mind. At all times, Nicola and Edwin’s encouragement and unwillingness to leave me behind cheered me greatly. It was pretty much only their encouragement and Billy’s little verbal push that got me going onto the most difficult level. And then I had to go and freak out at being so high up in the air and get nauseous and slow down the group. So then I took the “emergency exit” and was belayed down by a guide because they would not leave me behind even though I was so slow and so scared. It sounds like I’m trying to glorify cowardice, and it feels like it, too, but this all in all honesty – I was scared and tired and worried that my team would suffer because of me. I could not overcome my fear. Or is it enough to say that it was a feat for me to even get up there? Does that even count? Are we mice or are we men? Apparently I’m the Lady Monster Master Jenny-Buddy.

These are the two days we are first day in Musky’s Landing. Yesterday we are almost whole day on the car, with the morning we tied the boats. Today we went to treetop trekking. We finished most of the lanes, but except the hardest black lane. It is fun though, but it is so tiring. I feel so tired now, although I am doing some cooking. Now it’s time for water!!!

These two days were both fun and exciting.
Yesterday we left our hotel and prepared ourselves’ for the trip to Musky’s Landing. I was assigned to help Billy to buy food and load all the stuf to his 3 vans. I followed Billy to buy food, I learned that. Planning is very important because when you are looking for 27 people you would not whan to buy less or to much.  Later in afternoon we started to pack our goods in to our van. I learn deviding stuff is very important, because if you don’t you will end up with a lot more boxes.
Today we woke up early for PT and some morning exercise then we played some games. In the afternoon we went to Horse Shose resourt to play. In was extriemly physical demanding, because we had to climb up and down in the Treetop Trekking. Basicly you need to climb many ropes which was connected by many trees. The corse was devided to many level, I was very lucky to complet all of them and accomplished the black corse which was the hardest in all of the corse.

Today was a most interesting of PT lessons. We were blindfolded for most of this duration. It was interesting to see each group trying to communicate with their members. I actually ran into a tree this morning. I hate to say it but my team’s directions really sucked. Then again I don’t think mine were any better. Unfourtunately I did something wrong today. It wasn’t actually something bad, but was taken that way. Hopefully I get rid at my habit of doing stupid things when bored.

Lemuel
So we missed out on writing the blog yesterday. Sorry about that but fret not, nothing interesting happened anyway. Basically all of yesterday was spent packing all the luggage and equipment and driving up to Musky’s Landing. Today, we went treetop trekking and we basically did what we did back in Alpha group. I was going for the black course which is the most difficult but I was held back since one of the students was too scared to go up the coursed. It was unfortunate that I was unable to go where I wanted but it really wasn’t bad. Looking forward to water activities the next few days.

Nicola
Yesterday we arrived here at Musky’s Landing. After a long ride, we did a splendid clean up in lightning speed. Today, we did PT, some activities we did involved collaborating with our team mates. The jerry can drill today was done really well. I’m very happy with my group. Through all challenges, today’s most difficult challendge was blind folding soccer game. This was indeed very tricky! With all the noise the audience carried, it became harder and harder to concentrate. Hopefully I’ll do better tomorrow! The fun continued at horse shoe valley when we did treetop trekking and zip lining. I finally went on black, the most difficult tree top challenge  along with my buddies, Jenn, Edwin Chan and JJ. I wish Lem and Peggy got to go on with us. Because we planned to go on together. Hope there will be a next time. I thank Billy for giving us this opportunity, TREE TOP TREKKING!! SO FUN! Mom, Dad, Doris, and Yaura, eat full and dress warm. Looking forwards to tomorrow.

Today’s blog will be combined with yesterday’s blog. Yesterday we finally came back up to Muskey’s for few day stay. All we did was split into 3 groups one for logistics, another for kayak and the last group was for zodiac. We got everything ready and left by 1:30 pm to fill up the Sprinter and Zodiac. Once we reached to Muskey’s we unloaded our luggage and all the equipment in about 55 minutes. We started a Campfire and played some team games that involves us being blind folding and either tasting, smelling, and/or feeling the mystery food in the pot. Now this was pretty interesting because we some more team building skills. After all that we went to treetop to zipline again. I finally got to go do the black course and it’s fun. I guess that all now, have fun.

-          Water activity start at tomorrow

Yesterday was a fairly simple and quick day, we woke up, cleaned up, packed our things, restocked our inventory, loaded up the Sprinters, then we were on the move to Muskey’s Landing once again. Ahh, Muskey’s, so many memories from Alpha group. Well, when we arrived we had an amazingly quick unloading which lasted only 50 minutes. Following the unloading/setting up of camp, we had a variety of team building games along with a campfire.
This morning we started off the day with some nice PT drills. These drills were designed to teach the participants on the vitality of communication and teamwork when in a group setting. We also had room inspections today aas a lesson on attention to detail and it’s importance in all fields of work one would wish to enter. Following room inspections and lunch, we went treetop trekking, once again bringing back memories from Alpha group. But this time I had enough time to go on both the big zip as well as the black course.. Tomorrow, we’ll start our water activities, starting with safety, CPR and first aid.

Alex
This was the second day in Muskey Landing. I have lots of fun today during the Treetop trekking. It was fun., exciting and challging. What a tired day again. And tmr water activities are coming I’m look forward to it.

Today, we went to tree-top-treking. Before, we did a lot of team building game. We blind fold succer,Commander game and skills game. It is really fun. I learn that as a leader. To have painton, to move foward and wait. To follow the rule, to over come your fear be a better man.
