Day 14 - K2 Practice - Cherry Beach, Centre Island, Toronto Harbor; Day-off for Edwin Lo - watching Bruce Lee movies at Billy's apartment

Michael
After an early breakfast at half past six (strawberry blend and cereal), we headed to HQ to locate our K2 on the vehicle, and do some preparation like packing up and wearing wetsuits. However, we spent some of the time cleaning the ants in the HQ, simply because somebody dropped their food left overs! I think we should make restrictions and establish some rules or policies to prevent people from making rubbish everywhere. (That's the reason why we need to do clean up everyday early in the morning.)
Because of the cleaning up, we delayed our schedule a bit, but still we found a parking space in Cherry Beach so soon, and then headed to the water to go for K2 practice. I was sitting at the front, being the power paddler, and with Billy behind, being the direction controller. Last but not least, Edwin Cheung was our support and safety for looking after our belongings and helping us throughout the day. At the beginning, I tried to get used to the water actions and the waves, but I was feared to paddle over when encountering any big waves or wakes. But soon after crossing a peaceful river inside the Center Island, the wakes and waves in the main channel between Toronto Harbor and Center Island was furious and continuously hit our boat. As Billy said, if we don't paddle over the waves, you will get the kayak out-controlled, and soon leads to capsizing. Well, you know I almost failed in the Kayak safety exam for capsizing, so I hate being capsized, so I just face against the wind and waves, and paddle over with my greatest strength. Somehow, for no reason, we could pass through the furious water area so easily... It's because of the momentum and the rhythm with your partner - the pace couldn't be dragging or accelerating too much, unless there's a boat or obstacles approaching. The momentum, should be maintained as long as you get on the track.
After a three-hour-kayak tour with some wonderful sight-seeing of Toronto CN tower, Center Airport and several beaches, we finally arrived our destination peacefully. As long as we arrived to the beach, I immediately got off the boat and went to go pee, simply because I had kept holding it for like half an hour already~
Followed by a hefty lunch at TNT, we headed back to HQ to some inspection and cleaning up, and prepare for another kayak practice tomorrow. This time, Billy will bring both Edwin's' and me to Cherry Beach - Center Island - Toronto Harbor again. Billy will take lead with Edwin Lo, and I will be with Edwin Cheung, both of us will be in K2. (Actually, I pretty much enjoy kayaking, especially with friends, relatives, anybody. It's because when we encounter any obstacles, we can take over it together, and work as a team to reach our destination - sharing the joy, momentum, hope... endless hardwork.)
