Day 10 - Churchill Falls, Labrador

Last night was our last night in Labrador City! Charlie was kind enough to treat us to some delicious BBQ with T-bone, chicken wings and corn. As always, his food is scrumptious! We greatly appreciate his hospitality.

After breakfast at Charlie’s restaurant we headed out to Trans Labrador highway 500. The ride was decent for a little while because they recently had it paved but soon got really bumpy and every time we stopped, the black flies seemed to attack our vehicle! Luckily we were all safe inside or we would definitely become Chinese food!

After about 5 hours on the road, we finally reached Churchill Falls and lounged around for about 3 hours, waiting for our tour to start. At one point, Michael hurt himself (very minor) and Billy had to perform first-aid, at the same time, he gave us a quick first-aid lecture.

Finally, the long waited tour came but there was some problem with the vacancy because they changed the schedule for our tour, in the end, only 6 of us were allowed in the tour.

We are heading to Goose Bay, another 5 hour ride…exciting, right? Most likely we will be sleeping on the vehicle tonight while Billy driving. See you all at Goose Bay! :)
