Charlie Group Day 03

Today was an interesting learning experience for the students, we were invited by Raymond to go to a community garage sale. We practiced our communication by communicating with the many customers that walked by. However, due to the weather, we were forced to end the sale early, and we went to Ryan Houang’s house to eat a BBQ dinner. The students learned a lot today about presentation skills, communication, and overall showmanship. This was a great opportunity for the students that they won’t soon forget.
in addition, we are pleased to welcome Kennis, our newest instructor, who will be joining us for the Charlie Me3 Program!

Today, we sold and used items at a garage sale outside of a church with the st John Ambulance York east cadet Division. It was fun to sell things. We also had lunch. We learned many things such as: organizing present the items, greeting people, communication between the two groups and pricing the items. After that we did eat dinner at Ryan Hoang’s house. Tomorrow, it is our camp.

I woke up at 7:30 at went down to have a long walk with Edwin Low. Then we went to a garage sale with st. John for 8 hours. Today, I learn from Garage sale is communication with customers and organization with your products.

On our first outing as part of the Monticle program, after a good night’s rest at the apartment, we were aiding the members of my former St. John Ambulance cadet division (whose chief was Raymond), run a garage sale. It was raining as we headed out, but the sky cleared off and for the first tome as a Monticle students, the sun came out.
Although the clouds and the rain came back aound lunchtime, we still got good patronage. We learned to communicate with those in the community, and we even intook some marketing (and retail) skills.
It was also a good time to learn a lesson on being responsible for on’es property, I left my water bottle in a box and left it alone, but when I came back to check on it later on, it was gone! Searching in and around the area didn’t help, and so for now, I have to live without a water bottle. Remembering that if I take care of my equipment, it will take care od me, I will learn to surviv the rest of the program without losing anything else.
Oh, and a friend of ours, Ryan, invited us over to his place for dinner. He will join us tomorrow as we get set for our outdoor adventure on Monday…

Today I sold a lot of things because I had a Chariti sale with St John. I earn a lot of money but all gave it to the church. I had BBQ for dinner tonight. I felt very happy. Tomorrow I will pick up the things to the camp. It will be a very tried day.

Today, we spent the day doing community services by helping host a garage sale at me Rnenesch church of Canada. We were helping sell many donated goods from people from the church and the community. There were many assorted items such as toys, clothing, kitchen ware and household items. We began gettings the naucy at it however in the afternoon. We did not have a chance to sell anything. This now because at the rain which ruined our outdoor sale. However in the end, after working from 9am to 4pm, we managed to make over $50. I enjoyed this experience very much as we got a chance to practice our negotiation skills in the fcoms of communicating and interacting with different kinds of people.

Today was very exiting and enjoyable. Today, we used what we learned, and placed it in a real life situation. Me and other students went to assist others in a garage sale. We had to use the social skills that we learned in order to be successful in communication. Some of these things consisted of greeting customers, and organizing the merchandise. What we I did today will be put into account for the rest of my life in terms of how to socialize with others.

Today was very fun, even though half of the day was rainy. I woke up a bit sleepy but lightened up after breakfast. We went to a garage sale after breakfast, and we helped them sell their stuff. I had a bag around my aron and it was supposed to hold all the money, we managed to sell a lot of stuff and along the way we learned a lot of skills for selling items, In the end we were soaked, cold and managed only to earn $53.85, but it’s a start.

We woke up at the same time this morning. We had bread with ham and butter. We went to a church to do community service. We had to sell unwanted stuff in a garage sale. We sold different items but mostly shoes (girls). I learned how to hang up clothes. It rained so we didin’t have lots of time to sell stuff. We had hotdog for lunch and after the garage sale we went to Ryan’s house for a bbq since it is Alastairs last day with us.

Today was a fun day, we met new people and worked on our communication skills. We helped Saint John’s Ambulance to stuff to raise money. We worked on communicating by talking to strangers, overall we had fun, but it rained so half th tim we were in shelter. We are now at Ryan’s house to BBQ for stairs departure. I hope you have a nice summer.

We were very unlucky today; we couldn’t sell anything after 11:30 because it started to rain. We went to the Rhenish Church of Canada to help out for the church’s garage sale, we made about $54.00 but it wasn’t for them, the money went towards a charity. We didn’t really fo much because of the weather so it wasn’t a very successful day.

Roman

I feel very proud, because it was a really secessful day! We had a garage sale and we sold mostly new stuff. All of us learnt great ways to sak stuff and to use the communication skills we learned yesterday. We made $53.87 all together.

Lemuel

Today we did community service, we went to a church and set up a garage sale. Unfortunately we didn’t keep the garage sale for long because it was raining half way. By the time we finished pucking up,  it was dinner. Since one of the instructors is leaving we decided to have BBQ as a farewell. That’s pretty much sums up today.

Today was a very rainy day. Mostly our entire time was at a church with ST. John ambalance doing a garage sell. We were in charge of two booths. Our profit after selling is %53. We packed up an hour early to because of the rain. Then me, Justin, Lamuel, Roman, Jackie, and Edwin went with bully to buy food for dinner. We are about to eat the delious BBQ that I kind of helped. This is basically it for now. May be more tomorrow.
