Day 3 – Ontario-Manitoba (Winnipeg Arrival)

We rose early, and were on the road as soon as possible again. We had sandwiches for breakfast, and also for lunch again.

We stopped at Aguasabon Falls, which was right down the road from our motel. The view was amazing, and the sunrise only added to its natural splendor.

We also stopped on the north shore of Lake Superior. The water was cool, and its rocky shore had its own rugged beauty. We explored the shoreline for a bit, and then it was time to hit the road again.

It’s really hard to believe that this is only day 3! It feels like a lot longer, I guess that’s because we’re with our Monticle family! (We wish you were here, Michael! Vivian’s seeing a little bit of Michael in everyone :D)

Today, for some of us, it was a monumental day. We. Saw. A. MOOSE! Although, a bit on the roadkilled side…

Ontario is really big! It has taken us three days to get out of Ontario! …And we only started from Toronto! We’ve finally reached Manitoba. And so the scenery has changed from the rocky mounds, and rolling hills of Ontario, to the flatter, river-winding lands of Manitoba.

And our first black fly made it onto the Sprinter at one point. Magdalin’s our knight in shining armor, our hero…she got rid of the insect after screams of ‘Get it off! Get it off!’ And there’s only going to be more and more where we’re going…

Our dinner tonight consisted of fried chicken and burgers. Oh, and root beer too! (Cheers!)

We’re currently staying at a hotel in Winnipeg. It’s raining hard outside, so we’re lucky we’re not out in the storm tonight.

Tomorrow we explore more of Winnipeg.
