Day 16 – Edmonton, Alberta Part II

Day 16 – Edmonton, Alberta Part II

IKEA breakfasts are the best! We woke up later than usual today, and we went to IKEA for our morning meal. After we ate, we headed to our main destination of…(insert drumroll here) the West Edmonton Mall!

The mall just became awesomer in all of our books. We went to the water park today. The place was HUGE! They had so many slides, ranging from beginner to extreme. And the classic wave pool was…well…classic, and much-loved by all.

We stayed there for quite a bit, playing random games made up on the spot in the wave pool, and going on all of the different slides. I’m sure we’ll all remember that one red slide. It was…INSANE. The drop was so steep that you couldn’t see where it bottomed out. And we all went on it, even with hesitancy, and last minute regrets, we all went over the edge of that bright red waterslide.

At first we couldn’t figure out how to get up to that red slide (its name was Sky Screamer), and we would walk up the wrong stairs, and end up going on a different slide than intended. The other slides just couldn’t compare after we went on Sky Screamer…other than another extreme slide, a purple one called Nessie’s Revenge, that looked much more innocent than it actually was. It looks to be much slower than Sky Screamer, what with all of the bumps and all…we were wrong…those bumps…they give you a couple of seconds of air time. And when you land, the white foam and spray of water blinds you, and all you can do is wait for the slide to dump you into the pool. It. Was. AWESOME.

After a while, we decided to finish our last minute shopping in the giant mall. Souvenirs, souvenirs! (Everybody had better be happy with the gifts that they receive! If only everybody knew how much effort goes into getting people presents…Appreciation people, appreciation!) :D

We had dinner at the same Chinese restaurant that we ate at yesterday. The food was still just as good, although we ordered varying kinds today.

Tomorrow we start heading back; we turn our heads back towards home. We’re going to be going to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. That’s 8 entire hours of driving for Billy…He works too hard.

See ya soon everybody! :)
