Winter Exploration 2014 Day 8

Waking up rather early today, I spent my time trying my best to go to sleep (because from my previous experiences, jet lag is a huge pain in my backside). But as anticipated, I was fully awake with my eyes gleaming as if their mission was to keep me awake just right after our day begins. Things took a turn then, as we headed to the HQ and Billy gave my mother a tour around. I took a decent amount of time playing table hockey ( in which I made several frustrating mistakes). After picking up the three gentlemen from the HQ we all headed for breakfast, ( As predicted, my mother and sister gave a moving speech about their hunger and need for food) then set off onto our journey to the University of Trononto. Arriving, my instructor Billy, gave us a tour and explained the potential future of Monticle and the collaboration with the University of Toronto. As a Cantonese born and raised, it was quite natrual that I shivered and jumped in the cold, even Finland wasn't this terrorizing! ( I guess it was the wind ) We then visited other Landmarks of our own, such as the University Billy graduated in, the first resturant and job Billy ever took, and the place where Billy took his first english lessons. We also visited the nearby hospitals and spent most of our day downtown. It was refeshing and great! ( Although I fell asleep during several rides )

Winter Exploration 2014 Day 7

After several brutal hours on the plane, my family and I finally arrived Toronto. It was a relief, because I was finally able to escape the torchured smell from the passenger in front of me, as would I be able to see my beloved Canadian friends. I went through immigration (had a blast with the customs guy asking us questions and freaking my mother out), but ultimately to be able to finally see my friends, return back to the HQ, pet hazel, and see snow for a change, I was very happy. Well in moments notice, my instructor Billy issued a task or somewhat challenge. (well that was unexpected **sarcasim**) I was to help a monticle student with his first aider test. Given my ability to speak chinese, and the amount of time since i've reviewed my First Aid skills, it was no surprise I stammered in confusion for the first few minutes. Afterwards, we went for dinner and waited for Calvin (who was sadly caught up in downtown and unable to join us). I had a blast. What a day!

Winter Exploration 2014 Day 6

A day of very windy and snow at Niagara Falls Canada and Buffalo USA.
